About	I have followed a dozen Osprey nests near my boat. The young now fly on their own, but return to the nest for food from the parents as the young learn to hunt on their own. The process of nesting is fascinating to follow each year. During the DDT era they all but disappeared. They have come back strong.

No. All I did to the photo was crop it. I have boated that area for 35 yrs. You are right, DDT distroyed the birds in the 70's and they now have made a wonderful recovery. I followed about a dozen nests as they they hatched this year.

Very nice image... did you have to post process it to get it that clear?

I am glad these wonderful birds are making a come back... Durind the 70ies we feared that they would be extreminated due to the pesticide craziness
