Here's the type of Holly Hock I have....

Hollyhock Mallow Mystic Merlin
Malva sylvestris Mystic Merlin

Purple, Blue, and Mauve Blooms from July till Frost!
Masses of 2-inch blooms for full sun to part shade.

A magnificent source of hard-to-find blue as well as every shade of purple from mauve to deep violet, Mystic Merlin is an ever-changing tapestry of rich, cool color for months on end! You will love its easy-grow, no-care habit, and its blossoms will fill your garden and vases with brilliant color!

The blooms are 2 inches across, many lightly striped with a darker shade. They may remind you of old-fashioned single Hollyhocks, but instead of growing up a stalk, they arise all over a very dense, bushy, attractive shrub 4 to 5 feet tall and about 2 feet wide.

Lovely macro with good dof and awesome colors! As a zoologist I'm not up on my plants, but are you sure that this is a hollyhock. The hollyhocks in my garden look quite different.
Regards,
Michael
