WOW George this is awesome, the radiant sun and golden light coming out from behind the amazing thunderheads is magnificent. The deep blue giving way to soft blue is glorious. Just the right touch of silhouetted landscape. So you missed the lightning, oh well, this image more than makes up for it. Nice work!!

Oh WOW! This is a texbook MCS (which means 'Big Honkin' Storm') and the way you got to see the sun almost warping around this formation...is...WOW!!!

very nice shot george, i know what you mean with trying to catch lightning, i actually got my first ever picture with lightning the other day, took like 100 pictures standing there wiating, opening that shutter, and praying, finally YES... hate how when using a digital i started to get noise in the picture when leaving the shutter open for too long, thats what good old 35mm is for though.... good luck very cool picture congrats
