About Taken from a jetty on the arrival of the recreated ship, The Nina II of Columbus' expeditionary fleet. The two gulls were a welcome bit of luck.

Pahl,
Good composition and subject. The two gulls flying in front of the ship seem almost to be leading it.
Do you have any other information about the ship, the originial Nina was more than likely a Caravela, a two or three masted vessel, lateen rigged (later change to square rig), this seems to resemble a early Carrack or Nao (Nau in Portugese) which was what the Santa Maria was. Just curious.
Reguards,
Ray

Great capture, especially with the gulls flying shotgun!

The gulls and especially the rocks in the foreground really help to frame this shot.

WOW! What a great picture! I just love these old ships. I wish I could sail on one. Great shot, beautiful composition (and thanks to the gulls).
