The feel you achieve with a Holga is unmistakeable, and hard to achieve with anything else. I think it's one of the best cameras when it comes to capturing the intangible moment. And it can't be matched when it comes to the edges of the film, where the wonderful distortions come out. And each Holga is different, I learned. Some are as sharp as an old tlr, and the best ones have so much in the way of lens aberrations, that those who own it value it above any other camera they own. This particular image is incredible. And I had the chance to look through your portfolio, and it was a pleasure. Did you major in Fine Arts? You have a wonderful rapport with your subjects, and with it, an awarenesss of their surroundings in the incorporation of the final image. You really stand out.
Mark

I love the dilapidated, flophouse feel of this photo. Somehow it brings to my mind the words of an old gospel song recorded by the Golden Gate Quartet among many others, I guess. Let's see if I can remember...

Hi Bea!
The best thing on this shot was the "good food"! hmmmm, I hope they have a lot of vegetables and fruits (I am trying to eat less and less meat, just trying, let's see....) :)
Other fantastic shot! I agree with David, the snow is working really cool here.
Best wishes, Renato

Excellent. Could be straight out of the 1880's. The blurred snow works really well. Love it.
