Hi Mary! All right, I learned something...I'm not really into industrial (anymore). But I love live music and I like to see the original. The Einstuerzende Neubauten stuck to their plan and they survived over all this years. To go on this concert is my form of appreciation.
Their show was awesome, unfortunately I couldn't make it in time so I didn't get a good spot in the audience. Means, no pictures this time :-(
In a few days Skinny Puppy will perform here, I bet you know them, too. But I didn't deside so far If I will go.
I will keep coil in mind. Sooner or later "every" artist shows up in Manhattan. :-)))
Take care!
Carlheinz

Dear Carlheinz!! Einstuerzende Neubauten is one of my favourite bands. Industrial music belongs to the Umbrella Term "Gothic", as Gothic is a general word for all kinds of music as I explained to you.It is important someone to understand this. Einstuerzende Neubauten and Coil are the fathers of Industrial music. Of course all New-Industrial bands are not pure industrial (a-tonic music of the city sounds) but a fussion of techno, noise etc samplers (bands like Apoptygma Berzerk, Icon of Coil etc).
If you like Einstuerzende Neubauten buy Coil also, you will be surprised!! They are like metal massage!
I know this fact about Einstuerzende Neubauten: they used to go to houses under construction and dance at the sound of the drills etc !! Revolutionary ha? They reverse the flow of attributes too!! I love their concerts as they play music with all kinds of tools!! I recently saw a Coil concert and I plan to send a photo here. It was an experience for me...

Hey Mary!
...the 3200 is my friend for the darkness...
The other day I was on a concert of "Einstuerzende Neubauten" and saw a lot of these people (well, don't know a general term; I guess they are not just gothics) and really enjoyed it, just to see all this guys arround. I wasn't aware that industrial attracts this guys, too.
Take care, Mary!

Biliana, thanx for the comments, it is an honor to receive them from you.I admire your work and I think you go further than photography, an asset to usefilm! You are one of your "Drops"...amazing!!
I think the girl waits for someone. The people of the festival are used to having photographers around them, most of them ask for the magazine issue that their photo will be in or hope that next year in the next festival they will be able to buy the photos as there are stalls where some photographers, not me though, sell all this work on a suvenir basis. I write for music magazines so I happen to know that this festival is a Photo Paradise!!! I know other festivals also in Slavish countries, but with more emphasis on Middle Ages bands. I wish you could see the exhibition in Athens!

I do not find a reason why to use a 3200 speed film if it is daylight. It is dark culture people not spots in darkness!! (laughs)
Yes they need a lot of time to get ready, what they wear is very expensive, as Gothic culture is a great industry today and still rising. The name "Gothic" includes several kinds of music: Gothic Rock, Noise, New Wave/Dark Wave, Gothic Metal, Gothic, Electro, Dark Ambient, Dream Pop, Industrial, Ethereal, New Cabaret, Folk, New Folk , Instrumental/Minimalistic, Apocaluptic Folk, Pagan/Ritual, Medieval etc Every kind has a different way of clothes. They are posers but sometimes some of them just love wearing extreme clothes for other reasons also. There is a charm to dress up equal to putting clothes off. Never Forget they are a kind of hippies of our Times, as well as the Rave/Trance culture.
Thanx for the comment!!

Red wings? A fallen angel? Love the series of "those peoples".
The other day I saw "3 creatures" (kind of poser gothics) in the Manhattan subway and didn't have my camera ready. They looked so awesome! I assume it took them at least 3 hours to "get ready". You always need a 3200 speed film with you.
Very good, Mary!
