Funny, as I have had that song in my head for a few days now. Anyhow, on to the image, I think there is just the right amount of blur to go with your idea, leaving just enough details to be able to recognize certain objects throughout. The colors really pull me in, they are very lovely, and certainly go well with the "sweet dreams". Well done Paul~

Paul, well glad you liked it enough to put up. I like this quite a bit. As well you've tagged it with one of my favorite songs - at first I thought I was in the village as in NYC...but I must say the rose tones - give that Moulon Rouge, Parisian flavor - forgive my spelling. At 1/90th 3.5 you got a fair amount of movement - I'm assuming you were walking as well creating additional movement. Like the mood here and very creative. Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

Drives my eyes nuts up close but given a bit of distance it really creates a strong impression and works well for me.

This brings to mind the work of the impressionists. Photography is "painting with light' and you have done that perfectly. Great atmosphere and movement. Thanks for you comment on my work. Regards John

Bjorn, it was the combination of 200ISO.. 1/90th shutter..and dark conditions that contributed to the image. Also, I did not adjust the compensation any.

Slowing down the shutter? I thought it was done at 1/90th? How slow did you go?

Thanks Bjorn, it was done by slowing down the shutter and the effect came from hand holding the camera.

I like it too, Mr Paul. We have not yet met on the pages of "Usefilm" and that is my loss, as all of the 60 or so photos you have uploaded so far are exceptional. I comment on this one both becuase it is the last you uploaded and hence the first that I saw and because even among your photos itis outstanding. Like you I also write, and if you want to see my face, as I saw part of yours and my writing, allow me to invite you cordially to www.drspringmann.com where both can be found. Thank you for your comment on my "Rain". Coming from an artist like you it is doubly appreciated. Regards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann

What an atractive image you've got! Very impressionist, really nice.
I imagine you were stepping down and shooting. Simple effect, great results.
And also a nice example that a good image doesn't need "finishing", but a good idea, a concept and knowledge of what you're doing, what you have in hands and what do you want to achieve.
Congratulations!
Jose Azevedo
