Excellent portrait.. Perfect exposure, color, framing and DOF management. The flowers in the background add color but do not detract.

Oh, Rebecca, this is exceptional. What a precious profile, the taupe and black colours are lovely, the eye (eyes) so gentle and intelligent, the short snout adorable. The background of vivid flowers and greens is splendid. Your best friend, I know of where you speak.

Very nice portrait of your great dog. I think a subtle blurring of the flowers would make Patrick stand out more. (without losing the colour from the flowers, which I think add to the photo)Very nicely done.
