this is absolutely magnificent Antonella! it is very wonderful to know you are back, I did not know what had happened to you? at any rate, yes got the D70 ( had to take the first one back because it had the infamous 'back focus' problem that seems to haunt this camera serial# 304xxx) the next one has a much newer serial#504xxxx and the focus seems to be right on! I highly recommend that you test your new one for the back focus too! I suppose you just bought the body since you have so many lenses, I however bought the kit~and today the 70-300 so now I have to lenses both Nikon... wonderful to have you back and have missed you very much...a big hug sent with this ....jon

Con il Manfrotto,ci puoi giurare...a 5 sec.sarebbe stato troppo chiedere :) Sai,mi sono accorta ( non si finisce mai di imparare ) che per i paesaggi notturni c'è un tempo specifico che dura pochissimo. Inizia quache minuto dopo il calare del sole,e dura pochi istanti.
Dopo,al buio,vengono bene i dettagli fortemente illuminati oppure i vicoli con i lampioni,ma il paesaggio perde d'interesse perché le luci appaiono come tanti puntolini persi nel nero.
Ti devo ringraziare perché mi hai aperto un nuovo mondo fotografico che mi affascina ogni giorno di più.
Peccato che non posso andare quanto vorrei,dal momento che una donna sola a passeggio per Firenze a notte fonda si candida al vero massacro....vedessi che fauna c'è in giro!
Certo,il Manfrotto con tanto di testa più pesante della tua è un'arma letale  ) )

It's OK to be down in the dumps ... sometimes :-) But when you go through this again - do yourself a favour and read the comments that UseFilm members post on your images. THAT alone will make you realise that you play a valuable role. You take us where your camera has been, places where most of us will never have the pleasure of experiencing. If it wasn't for people like you and others, we would be so much poorer, not having seen what you have captured so perfectly.
So ... I give you permission to feel sorry for yourself for another ten minutes, then you must get yourself up off the floor, and start dancing with joy. There is so much to celebrate in life, we only need to go find it in ourselves.
Next time when *I* am where you are now, I will be sure to knock on your door for some pep talk :-))

Hi Antonella, Very good exposure. The warm tones of the cityscape come out perfectly against the deep blue of the sky. Very well captured. I like the slip of land in the lower left corner. IMO, it works very well in completing the composition. Very nice shot!

Ottima la composizione ed il contrasto cromatico
unico neo il triangolo del muro di contenimento in basso a dx...ma chi lo vede tanto si è abbagliati dai meravigliosi riflessi del lungarno Vespucci..Un caro abbraccio

The reflections in this image is expertly captured. I also like the dark blue sky's reflection, set off against the darkness of the buildings' reflections and pier wall.
