About One hour exposure at f/3.5 taken in the wee hours on May 17, 2004. This image has the eastern horizon along the bottom, and since it is taken with a fisheye lens, the corners show the silhouettes of the trees on the horizon. Camera was mounted piggyback on a Meade 8" LX200 Shmidt-Cassegrain telescope which was tracking the sky. The Big Dipper is visible (inverted) in the upper left of the image. The Little Dipper is about halfway down the left side.

Wow~

I got here through a a "home page" photo... read the comments... and found your photos.

I'm VERY impressed... I can't even imagine, at this point in time what it takes to capture an image like that.

Very cool!

Thank you for sharing with the rest of us!

This image is rotated as well, but with a fish-eye pointed almost directly up, any side can be the "bottom" as they all are below the zenith at the center. The other option regarding your photo was that you were in the southern hemisphere. Last I checked, Poland and Czech were still in Europe...

Thanks for looking at my photos.

No I understand why you noticed that my image was rotated, Mr Astrophotographer.

BTW, your photos of stars are amazing.

Stunning!

took me a while to get how you did this. it's just brilliant! :)
the blurred trees make a beautifull border line.

congrats,
sérgio

Eeeh... incredible..! Interesting and so impressive! I have no idea how to comment it, a photo like this is really hard to say words about. But amazing feeling to look at and just... feel!

Ah, the milky way.. For me it's one of the great loses of our time: That there's hardly a place on earth anymore where my children would be able to look up and see the milky way... You are a lucky man..
The photo as a photo is great. Sharp and I agree with Terry that it would make a nice big print for at the wall.

WOW... now this one is cool... you got so much of that sky here. and taken with that Hassy of yours it can make a rather big print. Nice shooting again here Taras.. I want more star trails...hint hint... lol :)
