Really a great image. Love the red tones and the contrast between the other flower and the red ones. So good work, my best regards.

It took me 31 years to walk into a field of tulips. And believe me, the ones we buy in shops have the same characteristcs, also moneywise.
The good thing about these fields is, that they are selling them there along the road; won't tell you the price, it's too good to be true. And they lst, 2 weeks. In about a week I will post the ones we brought back home!
The deep red is the wonder of Fuji Velvia film, the most saturated and sharp slide film one can find. It's so sharp that's easy to scan them and then have a small crop like this one from a much bigger image. Have to love it!

OK Mr Krol - how did you do it? You planted that white tulip there! Just teasing :-)
It makes me totally sick thinking how you can walk into a FIELD of tulips, and the closest I get to them is paying LOTS of money for a couple of tulips that don't even open properly, and even die within a couple of days :-( You lucky man! No wonder you are converted :-)
Jeroen - great image - the shock of the white against the deep red is very eye-catching. DOF is great. Composition is great. You have done so well with this one - can't wait to see the rest.
Bye Linn

Hi Jeroen, This one is fantastic.... Into my favourites!
Very well composed, and a refreshing floral. In general, I'm not much into floral shots, but I find this one very appealing. Well spotted, and a very good DOF. How did you get this shot with a B&W negative film, though?
I think the reds are a bit subdued. Could do with some level tweaking, IMO, but that's about it. Very good one!
Cheers,
Hugo
