About The spider would not make an appearance today, so I had to settle on a woodpecker. The worms he brings for the young ones can be seen in his mouth.

Wow, amazing. Such photos provide an escape way for the mind, at least for a short while, not to think of all the sad news around.

Hi Raamses,
When I first noticed that the woodpecker was around, I sat in a easy chair and just wited for the right moment. The bird did not seem to notice me at all.
Thank you for your comments. You have an obsevant eye.
Regards,
Rafi

Hi Rafi,
Excellent photo of this woodpecker. It appears to be a large woodpeck, and looks somewhat like our Pileated Woodpeckers here in North America. I have a photo of one in my portfolio here on Usefilm, although not as sharp as this one.
Regards, Jimmy
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my "Beauty and The Beast" photo. My title was just a play on words. I find beauty in almost everything in Nature. Since you asked, I have attached a photo of my granddaughter that I took on a warm sunny day this past February, as she was playing in her sandbox.

Hi Rafi,

Very good photo of this woodpecker. What i like the is that it has an insect on this beak. You just cought it at the right time before entering the nest. Great job!!

Congrats,

Be seeing you...

Raamses.
