Antonella, I just read your messages in the forum and I'm waiting too, to hear if it might be a little chanse that they might change back the rating system. So many people are upset, and it's what you wrote too that SOME discuss it in forum but how about all those who never even reads there? They must be so confused, disappointed etc.
I truly love your photos and photo style, and you also seem to be a superb person!
I see you have more new photos and I will check back later tonight and look at them. Just a little bit busy at the moment!

Paolo, thanks for the personal reply. I think "love through photography" is a wonderful idea. I value the sharing of knowledge that takes place through Usefilm, and I am impressed with what you and Antonella were able to do under such dim lighting conditions. And your daughter! How wonderful that she already shares your hobby. None of my six children takes any interest in photography...

But a wrought iron lamp... is but a "bright' idea for the shadows smooth the roughness of the natural stone...
Next suggestion: to the right and a bit lower there is a knocker that she could use, to announce her overdue arrival for afternoon tea... as it was delivered and has been steeping for a while!

Dear Roger;
we haven't secrets and I confirm exactly what Antonella told you before.
I'm able to work usually in difficult light conditions so I know very well the D100 and its lens capabilities so that this meeting represented and allowed to us to share and to compare our experiences helping each other.
So no secrets between us (I think this is the mean purpose of UF) only THE WILL TO LOVE TROUGHT PHOTOGRAPHY!

Hi Roger,thank you for your comment. The reason why I needed such a long time and ISO speed was because there was no light inside the lamp which was an ornament of an ancient building.
The available light,extremely dim,came from another source,a street lamp somewhere else and not even close. It was practically pitch black and I was amazed myself that the photo came at all. The picture was taken at 1.30 a.m.  ) Paolo and I really amused ourselves to push our cameras' capabilities to the extreme!!

I love the shadows and textures, and the colour itself is rich and attractive. But why is it this very dark, rich colour? I cannot imagine what is responsible, or why you needed such a fast film AND long exposure... it doesn't look like moonlight. I am really puzzled. (help!) Perhaps I need Paolo and A. De Maio to tell me the secrets?
