Ana, even your palette is too raw to be one of the "lyrical abstract" painters you refer to. And, anyway, I wasn't thinking of "lyrical" as a school. To me you're an expressionist......simple and clear....with a strong religious undercurrent...."ana manichaean"?.."ana zenhead"?.."ana iconic"?

ok John but the sense MC says is i believe those of an impressive artists like a moovement in california woh s name i dont recal, and dont have nothing with this in common, my idea is getting deep in human soul I cant do it with Rothko s talent but his way of thinking paiting interests me the most,and he paintings are the sublime itself

This is fantastic! Maybe one of your best? You?ve closed the eyes of the dead Ana. Yet she still moves....like a dancing Death?s Head.... in a living death. It has very much a late Medieval, pre-Renaissance, sensibility to me. Maybe you really are a reincarnation. :):)
Are you lyrical? Not by your definition. But, as the old Greeks understood the word [lyra/lura] you would be. Music is our inner [original] language [which is why poetry is never far from music] and the Greeks thought that the lyre spoke from the soul. In your work you dramatize a mental [inner] state of being; so I would say that you are lyrical in the real meaning of the word.

we won't struggle for a word Ana, but you seem to have a strange interpretation of lyricism : that means to express ones sentiments, for instance, through art, more generally, to express oneself ! I don't consider that as a dishonnest behavior, dear Ana. And you have to admit that your image is the center of your works, so, for your audience, your expression is lyric. Sorry to be a professor playing with those concepts all year long and who doesn't only consider that just like concepts, they also attest a choice in one's existence ! Cheers and keep cool.

To MC i want to mak him know that I dont do lyrycal things, and if sometime one can seem lirycal , its just a superficial appearence, lyricism is a soft entertainment, wich i dont appreciate,My things appear with sometimes great effort mental effort and pain ,i'm not playing in the superficial meaning of the word.

Ana,
não tenho palavras! Já aqui voltei tantas vezes para a rever e só agora consegui dizer alguma coisa. Vou adicioná-la aos meus favoritos.
Aqui tudo está interligado com uma tal intensidade e com uma beleza tão grande que faz com que pense ser uma das tuas melhores composições.
Adoro a maneira com que, por entre tanta força pictórica e sensorial conseguiste manter o sentimento frágil e sereno do retrato.
Concordo com o Vincent plenamente não sei se é a isto que ele se refere mas adorava ver este trabalho com 4 metros de altura. :) OK 2m para não ser exagerado. :)
