About Holga continues her journey through Edinburgh. Looking down on the New Town from Ramsey Lane, with the National Gallery of Scotland and Royal Scottish Academy buildings nearby. I'll need to do some more work on that light leak from the film counter window!

This is a good image. It suits the feel of the town, and it's well composed.

Sure thing! As soon as I get it back from Jim, I'll post a photo of the back.

Phil, in all of your shots I love the light leaks and the contrasts. Good work....
Cheers!

The cult of Holga! Great, great image here!

I made this little flap with electrician's tape to go over the counter window. I can pull it up when I want to see the count then put it back - so far it's working really well. This might violate the Holga ethic, but I did it anyway. A friend has mine on loan (for a trip to Graceland! can't wait to see the Holgas from there) - when I get it back I'll take a photo of the back so you can see how I did this. If you like.

I'm going to go through more of these! Enjoying your portfolio a lot!

Would you like to try printing them Ruta? You would be welcome! The white on the left is a light leak from the film counter window, I need to cover it better... :)

yooohoooooooooooo WHERE do all these come from....last time I looked there wasnt any...time passes...gosh...i am collecting quite a few other toy things at the mo, but have to say the holga is unmistakable. somebody said to me, if you like a holga wait till you see the DIANA. in fact i have seen diana shots by a guy called shildt and they are amazing. he posts mainly in photopoints but yesterday there was one here too. i see yours lets in light in a different place from mine, and seems to me always in the same place as i remember your others. what colour is yours? mine is purple. adore it.

I like a lot the capture. but the print :( is it the twizer in the top? looks so. I see also the same white, kind of wave, on the left side, as I noticed on the other pictures. something wrong with camera?
anyway, this one is my prefared of 3. send me the negatives, that I'll print you the pictures :)

I guess so Brad, but it'd be nice to control them a bit! What I was doing that day seemed to reduce the light leak from the film counter window for a while... the longer it had been since the last shot the more light leaked in...

I was led to believe that the flaws, like leaks and streaks, were what is essential about "Holga". C'mon Phil, fill me in on this Holga craze.... ..Brad

Phil- another great shot from Holga. I think you used the light leak to your advantage in this shot. It frames thegrassy knoll very nicely.

cheers
