There is turmoil in my life nowdays. Seven year cycles are closing. I moved my apartment out and in again within a week. (it was really a Herculean task) Behind libraries, in lost boxes, under heavy furniture I found evidence of an old kosti. I had my knight secured in his very original box, inside a case where my subbuteo was lying also in tact, behind old FACE magazines, huge interviews from the Warhol era, 2-3 manipulators, classic and thoroughbred car magazine stacks covered by an old pair of jeans? My generation secured its evolution through image treasures and mixes between childhood memories and rebellious poetry. We were always criticized by the older generations; the 60?s and 70?s ?ideologists? (the ones that betray right now their youth and their revolutionary ideas) never understood our sarcasm; never realized the relation between a playmobil knight with a red feather on his helmet and the poetry of rimbaud; did not get how we could be listening to hatzidaki and dance to depeche mode? I am getting carried away? This little playmobil prince with a red feather on his helmet, his horse and shiny armour, does not represent any militaristic fetish or a sense of grandeur. It is just a trigger. It is that little button, which when pressed, it makes you postpone for a second that will last an aeon, your cleaning, archiving and moving operations, and bring all these memories back; a friend had given me this little digital thing. I dressed my prince, positioned him on the shelve and clicked a quick one; no flash went on; afterwards on PS I thought I could give some sense from all these I?ve been writing, with equalize and watercolour filter. Don?t know If this is successful ? trying to give you the input behind my choice to upload this image ? but I really, somehow, get a sense of trust in here and I am doing it, even as an extension of my biographical note?
Getting close to the next seven year cycle, I can understand you are ready for new old cheers. I like this knight, and your explanation. I am satisfied with the PS game. Well done Kosti.
