Hi Darrin, I like the contrast between the ancient culture and the commercialised art of ballooning. Very strong image. As for the choice of monochrome tone, I'm not quite sure. It gives this image a very dated look, rather conflicting with the message of the subjects. I think I'd go for a rather harsh contrast in plain B&W, or the colour version, as this is clearly a recent shot. The tone would be fitting, if the balloon wasn't there. Nonetheless a very strong image and a very good capture. The slightly slanted building and its textures is excellently captured.

Hi Darrin,
Mmmmm, so well balanced in composition, the temple and the ballon, the two trees excellent. I also think the way you have presented this, sepia toned, with a simple grey pencil, white border and then a deep rich black frame gives it a real air of history.
I'm adding this to my favourites, because I'd like to plagiarise these presentation techniques sometime in the future - hope you don't mind ;-)
