A fine, intellectual countenance, Roger!

Lager and suchi. Is that the Japanese equivalent, of lager and fish and chips?

An excellent portrait by your mate. Much better than my self timers, I always look like I'm wondering when the camera's, going to click!

Colin

p.s. I wanted to comment on your excellent bio pic, of you on the seat with the statues, but couldn't find it.

Hi Roger! ...nice to "meet" you! You're a distinguished looking gentleman. Lighting on you is quite nice for a candid, but I do think I'd want to crop the yellow lamp just above your head-- it's a significant distraction-- and without it the person becomes a much more totally dominent subject. Still, a nice candid. Thanks for putting it on UF. Cheers. Craig

Brad--and Craig, too--I thought it was OK to have someone take a picture for you... I was actually thinking of making a collage from baby pictures and calling it "The seven ages of man. " There's a lot of portraits taken by others elsewhere on the site. Why not try it yourselves? Must say Rob's comment puzzles me. Why "surprisingly" happy, I wonder? Hmmm...

Hi Roger, Nice to finally be able to put a face o a name. I have a problem in that I am always the one with the camera so Never get my pic taken.

Hey, no fair Roger! You're supposed to post photos taken BY you, not OF you! ;-) The beer does look tasty though, I must confess!

Thank you for your very kind comments regarding my photograph of Kyoto Station. And now that I have a face to put to the words, I'll be sure to say G'Day if I bump into you on the steets of Tokyo. Regards

Good to see you, Roger! it's only right that those of us behind the camera should venture out in front of it sooner or later. Who knows? Maybe I will sometime?
Have a good week.

Yes, indeed Matej. My Japanese friend has just joined Usefilm at my recommendation and has some wonderful shots he will be uploading once he's made his donation. If I can do half as well I will be pleased... He's all digital so I've already seen his results. Some of mine will be ready tomorrow.

Well, Debra, the title is tongue-in-cheek, of course. I am sure yours would look much nicer! The only problem with this shot of me is that for some strange reason it makes me look almost completely bald!

Ah, there you are. This is much better than the profile image, I'm glad you posted it. I'm also looking forward to the festival photos - plenty of opportunity for people shots, I can imagine :-)

You were well out of it for the last week or so while the new Usefilm was settling down. One thing about setting off so disastrously badly is that things can only get better. And they have been, very quickly. Functionally there have been a lot of improvements. Welcome back, Keith!

Hi Roger, good to see you at last. Nice to be able to put a face to the discussions and comments.

Sorry I've been a little out of touch recently, work has kept me from both my camera and usefilm, but I will be soon.

Keith
