Hi Kevin, what a magnificent view. I love the repetitive conguent shapes of the beams of the bridge against the threatning background. Good framing, too. Very good capture. Just a bit of nit-picking: there's a dust spot in the top left corner...;-)
Well done,
Cheers,
Hugo

So, they've added a new bridge since I was in digs in Jarrow! What is it made of to look so bright on such a dull day? And I wonder what all those posts are under and beside it in the Tyne... fascinating picture, Kevin.

Good job, Kevin. I like the differential toning of the sky, lighter under the arch and golding to the edges. Excellent as always. - Tim - Thanks for commenting on my Last Snow. Actually I didn't apply any noise at all. I was shooting fast in a snowfall so the noise you are seeing is snowflakes. I'm not sure if its good when my reality starts to look like an effect!

It almost looks black and white which I think is great for this photo because of all the forms and textures. I disagree with Keith. The building adds more shape and texture, I just wish it was bw which in a computer would be easy to do. Sometimes you are limited as to what you can do about a subject. The question then becomes is it worth taking a picture of this or not. I think you made the right decision.

Great picture! I like the way that the bridges are "inside" eachother and I love the dramatic sky. Lorinda in Australia

Hi Kevin, excellent repetition here, and that dramatic sky is wonderful. My only critisism would be that the viewpoint makes the bridges offset and allows into frame that partial building on the left. I am guessing that access was restricted and that tis was as close to square on that you were able to get.
Good job all round though. I like it, I've always had a liking with the NE, both the people and the area, and your portfolio just strengthens that for me.
