This image has a surreal quality to it...

Hi Kevin, you wouldn't believe how many back alleys, and the number of cities I've been to in the last weeks looking for something to inspire me the way your image has.

Thanks for the 'spark'.

Keith

excellent shot.
BTW, I see you've got an exhibition coming up at Bailiffgate - looking forward to seeing that

YES! You captured the atmosphere beautifully. And I LOVE the panoramic crop. Well, I would, wouldn't I! It may be Bill Brant-ISH but it stands on its own as a photo. Can we expect to see a whole series in this mood? That would be great...

I know what it needs - a cat, yes a cat walking down the side of the alley, but it has to be black ;-)

This is my third revisit to this image in the last 3/4 hr. Which has to say something of its power.

Kevin, you got this absolutely nailed in this one. I am very impressed. I assume this is Alnwick, yes ?

What would I change if I had to try and improve it ? ..... what a difficult question !
Well, maybe just adding an extra prop, an ampty milk bottle, a discarded boot or something half way up the ally (by the gate on the left). Just might allow the eye to rest before heading on up to the top of the frame. I don't know, maybe, maybe not, worth a try though.

ps I'm back in the UK now - give me a call, I think you have my mobile number

Excellent Kevin. I love this, it's a great pic, like the border, love the crop although I do think it's a little too dark on the right.
Other than that though, brilliant!

Nice crop, and a very good camera position. I like the heavy atmosphere in this one, Kevin. Well done.

Great pic Kev. Is Bill Brant a Morpeth lad? I think you succeeded.
