We were constantly tripping over other photographers or having to wait our turn at "good" spots. I hadn't thought how popular the temple park might be on a sunny late winter day with a hint of spring in the air...
Know what you mean, Leandro! I take quite a few panoramas, and you really need a tripod and good pano head for that, but I hate lugging the things around, so I try to get away with using high speed films so I can use faster shutter speeds. Sometimes I have to use one, though. THEN you want a good solid one, or it's so much wasted effort.
saw a bunch of photographers at the cherry blossom festival in belleville, new jersey hehe. im no pro so i found it amusing that theyre carrysing these really big tripods. they seem expensive too with the ball type heads and all that.
Hi Roger, well it looks like there are more photographers per square inch than there are in the whole of Chennai ;-) I haven't seen another camera in all the time I've been here.
I must admit I hate having swarms of other photographers around, maybe a couple of friends to share, but more than that or the odd one or two and I just leave.
btw - You mentioned your friend in Numgambakkam, thats exactly where my office is. However I'm leaving here on this evenings flight back to Dubai and Manchester.
