About I'm experimenting with the demo download of Photoshop CS. With this one I made extensive use of the new shadow/highlight feature ~ it works brilliantly!!

HI Chris,

Very nice indeed, two small points I'd like to put to you about the composition. With a little more height, the truncks would have stayed below the level of the first hedge, by breaking that line you have weakened the graphical aspects a little. Secondly by stepping two paces right you might have been able to make something out of the repeated shapes from the top log and the clump of trees on the bright green hill.

Worth a re-visit with a step ladder ? ;-)

Looks beautiful, Chris! Colours so warming and strong, and also a very nice composition! Only top of sky might be a little bit grainy?

Wonderful as usual Chris. Looks like Ireland. Pleasing image.

Note: How do you correct the converging verticals? I haven't got a clue.

It's a great feature. I've been experimenting with a similar function in PowerRetouche plug-ins, and it is magic. This is a great bucolic scene, Chris, where it has obviously worked that magic beautifully, but I am sad to say I find the colour saturation unrealistically high. It's the greens. Maybe I've been away from England too long, but I don't remember ever seeing greens like this. I'm obviously in a minority on this, with so many applauding your colours. In Japan, where more subtle colours are the absolute rule, they call this "the modern American trend toward oversaturation" and deplore it. I wonder what your comment on that would be.

Hi Chris,
Spectacular landscape! Gorgeous colors as well. Your composition is perfect as usual!

I used the demo CS for the 30 day period, and bought the program when it was expired. I really like the whole program, it has a lot of great features. I also like being able to bring 'raw' images into the program to edit before changing them to Jpeg.

Good work on your photo Chris!

Lori :)

Yes, it really works brilliantly! Great play with light and shadows! Beautiful composition too. I like the "sunny" atmosphere a lot. Greetings,
Diana.
