IMPRESSIVE!!! I have to study this image as I am also very attracted by superposition. The car, with the wonderful play of reflections, is the stronger element and as such sucks in the flower. Maybe cars can have dreams, too!
Love a lot of your shots!
Best regards by Gabriela

I think it is a successful merge, but I can not explain why yet... More or less the same feeling that Mary describes, I suppose. It definitely manages to hold the attention.

By the way, thanks for your kind comments in my images- glad to here you like them :)

Jeannette,

I've been looking a this for some time and simply don't know what to say about it - there is something going on here that pulls me in but I do not know what it is...

Deceptively smooth blend of the two images. The darkroom exposure is really well done technically - I particularly appreciate the three ligth "stripes" connecting the car with the flower...
The photo of the flower has a very different feel from that of the car in terms of contrast and grain. This would probably have prevented me from trying to blend the two, and while I'm not sure it is the best combination for that reason, it makes the seamless integration all that more impressive.
