Inspired by an article in a recent photography magazine, I decided to get creative in the kitchen. I searched the drawers for vaguely interesting everyday objects and set about doing something interesting. This in fact, is a humble egg-whisk. I set it on a piece of dark card, set the camera at a low angle over it on a tripod and used extension tubes to get in close. Focused a short way up the whisk and used as wide-an aperture as I could to throw the rest out of focus. I then used the light from a bicycle to illuminate the whisk from above, facing the lens and the picture was in the bag!
This is only the first of a big project I've done around the house - I promise I will bore you with loads more as soon as they're scanned!
As always, I look forward to your comments, good or bad.
