About These three photos were taken at the Christmas party of an English Speaking Circle. This American lady is the teacher. I will use this camera and lens to take more "people" photos from now on. It's a really great lens, my favourite for image quality but not quite wide enough for my taste.

I bet the fulsize photo will be wonderful and very detailed. Though on this one you can observe some very refined details in the back. Nice photo, Roger. I left a comment about my landscape. Thanks for your effort in commenting my photos. Regards, Rob.

I thought you left a very constructive comment for someone so I wanted to check out your pictures. While you didn't follow your own advice on cutting people in half, I think it works here. I like this picture. It is a good, unstaged moment. I am currently taking a darkroom class and am learning about dodging and burning. Well, I remembered that Photoshop has these capabilities also. I think the teacher's head on the left is a bit bright, so I used PS to burn in the area just a little bit. Hope you find this useful. Good job!!

A pleasing "slice of life" composition. I like these kind of pics but don't take many 'cuz it seem cameras make a lot of people nervous-- seems so in my family anyway. I confess: I was experimenting with the "fog" filter in PSP8 and used a sepia color with it on tonights seascape. I liked the result enough that I decided to upload it w/o drawing attention to the PSP8 work just to see if most accepted it as natural. Thanks for your comments. Cheers. Craig

I think your red needs fixing and it is easy to do...go to hue sat box in PS from the drop down box pick red take the middle dropper click on the red and pull down the sat slider and the lightness slider and your red will be fixed up...maybe better BW when the color pops out like that, roger
