Yeah! That's the right way of capturing a sunrise. The morining chill, the soft light and the shortening shadows. Pure gold! Not a soul around, just the silence..... Although that feeling might be even stronger, I think it radiates from your shot, David! Lovely, my compliments on capturing that feeling. As a "stand alone", I think it could need some more tension, i.e. a prime focal point. Maybe besides the issue, but a little bit more diversion would be nice. Still a very beautiful and subtle scene.
