I love this. I can almost feel the warm sun. It could have passed for a southwestern U.S. farm. I like the work in your portfolio! regards, Brad

I spent one year living in the English midlands - much of that time on a farm in Herefordshire, and this wonderful photo brings back memories of that time. A peaceful rural England feel comes from this photo, yet it also has elements of the hardships of maintaining and running a farm in the Yorkshire Dales. Thanks for your own comments, Regards.

A typically English scene captured with passion. Great range of tones and contrasts. Having looked through your portfolio it only confirms that you guys up north have a far better landscape opertunity than those of us living in the drab south. Congrats on this pic from the southern side of the Watford Gap.
Regards.....Phil

Your last black and white photo's are all excellent! This is the newest, and i think the greatest of the three. The subject is a quite peacefull one. The tones and composition are excellent! There is no emotion in the picture, and it is a typical English thing. When i drive trough the feelds of England, on small farmtracks, you see many many of these stone walls to sepparate the parts of land, and with such gates in it. One big big compliment from me for this fantastic work! Greets ,Lex

Hi Eddie, you are talking my language again here, I like this very much. The low angle is unusual, but works well. Toning is good, but the highlights may be just a tad overblown (though I am viewing on my laptop and thats not the best screen in the world). Also it looks a little soft in the focus, was it handheld ?
All in all, a good submission, it's inspired me to take my camera out onto the cold moors later this week ;-)
