Nice photo. Reading these messages, I dont thing the bike makes this picture worse, only gets another sense of the view.

Derek, I like the original shot better than the cropped one. I think your original aim of him being fully inside the shot would have improved it as you said. However the cropped version lacks something.

Great perspective, I like the downwardness (a new word) of the posts.

The biker may ben out of position as you say, but the picure is still very good. I agree that should experiment with some croping at the right. Good work!!!

thanks for your comments, the fact I wanted the biker on frame is to give some proportion to the photo (always find easier to relate to sizes if a person is in the picture, as they have proportions we are used to see), plus it gives some movement to it. I tried the empty version and I didn't particularly like the result. John, the camera has a multishot option, but I didn't have time to set it up in that moment! was the only person to pass in the street for more than 5 min, and was freezing to wait for another one...

You're right, Derek; it might've made sense to crop the biker out of the photo entirely. I think it would clean up the composition. On the other hand, since he was your desired subject, what's a fella to do? Does your Fuji have a burst mode? That might work next time.

Derek, great shot. I agree with Biliana. In fact, it might be interesting to try a vertical crop to eliminate the car and the bike on the right, and experiment with the possibility of removing the first pole on the left. Lou
