About After the careful search for survivors, all hope has been given up and it is time to clear the debris afther the Bam Earthquake of 27 december 2003. Time to get the big ones started. Only a few plots at a time can be cleared, as there are only a few shovels remaining.

Groeten Tim.

The sight of the Bam earthquake was gruesome, impressive and haunting. Considering Bam is located in the middle of the middle of nowhere, only surrounded by desert, the chances of the epicentre being right underneath the only major town in the vincinity was extremely unfortunate. I'll never forget the misery, the destruction and the dispair of the people of Bam. This tryptich is a part of a larger series. Although the disaster of Bam seems already almost forgotten in the western world, the people feel its aftermath every single moment, and will feel it for years to come. The attached photo is another example of the complete devastation. Hopefully, the survivors of the earthquake will be spared the scorching summer heat, and the irrigation systems of the famous Bam dade palms can be repaired in time, as this is the only source of income that is left.....
