amna i really like this close up.. great details & DOF.. i just wana ask you a question.. you know those 8 dots in the screen that are used for focus? don't they annoy you sometime especially in macros? i mean focus on the wrong part? what did you do to get the right focus?

Great floral close up, excellend DOF and focus on top.
The drops are very clear.
Good work.
I haven't ha time to experimenting much with my 300D. Still learning how to use all the functions and at present I am very beasy researching about the lenses I want to buy as soon as I decide which ones. What lenses are do you think you will choose, Amna? Any ideas about them and why?

Well, you did get the right focus in that point, something not so easy to do. The detail level is astounding! But the whole picture suffers from a shallow depth of field. At least the whole stem should be in focus. It seems that you are using strong lights so why not try to close your diaphragm one or two steps the next time? PS Just between us two, was this shot done with a +10 close-up lens?

You have made a nice composition with warm colors, the very selective DOF makes it special. A bit more breathing space above the DOF part might increase the quality of the image. Excellent work Amna.

Are you practicing!!! I think you are specialized. May be am different but I like the black dark at top left.
Regarding your concern about leaving some space around the object, absolutely right
And I do it for some purpose.. the origin ones not like those you?ve seen them .
Amna .. The one with title ?patata bollente? in English means ?Hot Potato? is a tiny marble Stone.. and ?Broken Egg? is a fossil , in Arabic ?mota7ajerat? and you can find those in UAE.
