Perfect capture Bill with spot on focus and DOF. Composition and pose are also great. Is it a Minor Bird? Slight niggle is that thin branch crossing the image in front of the legs.

Beautiful shot. Very vivid colors, wonderful composition. I have not had any luck with using the 2x or 3x teleconverters on my old SLR. Maybe the lens itself is not focusing well. Great job!
