About	My daughter, so of course I love the photo. However, I have much to learn about photography. Somebody help me out here - the photo is soft because low light, slow shutter, so did I need to use a tripod for sharper image?

great photo Elizabeth. Your daughter is very beautiful. Just a few suggestions. Increase the shutter speed to sharpen the image (Be sure to decrease the f-stop). perhaps try to frame her a little better. She has a beautiful face and there isn't really any need for all the empty space at the top. And really that's all I can think of. It's a great shot and I can't wait to see more shot from you.
