Charles, thanks for the kind words. I use a Tamron 180mm macro lens. It really is a superb optic, for about half the price of a comparable Nikkor or Canon lens.

WOW I love this photo. You shoot with the same camera I do so I am quite optimistic to see it's potential. Do you use a macro lense? Amazing shot!

holy crap that's amazing! (i just saw a bug documentary by the same director that did the winged migration movie, jaques perrin. have you seen this? you might love it.) this is a fantastic shot, i dont htink i have seen too many this close. the closer, the better!
