Excellent use of framing and astonishing sense of color. It strikes me as a place where Georg and Hienrich (from Schnitzler's "Road into the Open") might have biked through. "The last villas lay behind them, and the broad road, gradually rising, led into the forest. The foliage still hung rather thick on the trees, but every light breeze took leaves with it and dropped them slowly to the ground. The orange hills were in autumn splendor" (73).
