The centering of the subject is quite disturbing to me on this type of shot. Leaving a place for the Duck to move into can help to add a feeling of life to the shot. Also I can't tell if its the focus or if this is heavily modified in PS or some other program to make it look painted but to my eyes it just comes out blurry. Sorry if I'm too harsh but its my feelings.
