Quite different from the rest of your work. I agree with Kim, the background is too busy. The closeup is definately remarkable - and more indicative of your work.

The background seems a bit busy, but since its all in a neutral shade it not too bad. The one thing that feels awkward to me is the hand peeking in at the bottom... I would opt for it to be hidden, or crop above the hand. The close up knocks me on my butt though. What gorgeous eyes pop from the screen!

Oh, C'mon. You can recommend me anything on anyday. I posted this pic just because I like the lighting. I've been trying lately to create some surreal athmosfere in my photos, but I have alot to learn. :)

Did I say "keep trying"?!
Sorry for giving you "recommendation" ? I did not check for the author name. I'm not in position to recommend anything to you Chris, the only thing I can do is to learn from you.
Ups!:)

It is definitely good for a casual pic ? she has very interesting face and there are many things you can do if you experiment with light and shadows. I like the mix of background colors and color of her outfit too.
In my amateur opinion there are few things you can improve: 1) she is not relaxed and she is posing. It is good and necessary, but also important to watch for not "over cooking" 2) I like the lightning on her face, but something is going on with her eyes and it hurts the picture. 3) she has 3 fingers.
I think there is a great potential in this picture, set and light. Keep trying and thank you for sharing your work:)
