What a fine picture and charming model - and the shot works so fine on the white page. A standout!
When uploading like pictures in the future, it would be a god thing to consider allowing for at least an inch of empty space all around the file, so as to prevent things like the top blue bar or the title of the piece, to interfere with the visual treat.

Very cute! Can't see too much of the sled, but it doesn't matter to much because it's the pose, the cute expression and quality that makes this shot so wonderful. I really like how there is nothing around him... the snow can just be imagined. Wonderful winter mood and cute little boy.

Superb portrait Anna! I personaly think one of the best here in usefilm. Not only a great pose - wears etc... but also the snow makes a very interesting effect....empty background and HERE I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I almost believe you did masking crops on boy's body shape! Unbelievable! The 5X7 rating looks less for this. A classic first page photo! Happy new year!

Anna, I visited your portfolio because of your comment on my "Conversation Piece" for which thank you. Usefilm is so huge and so rich in talent it's hard to know where to start looking. So I visit people who comment... and I'm very glad I came here. This is such a beautiful photograph. It stands on its own merits quite without the fact about the old sled (although that does add a welcome touch of personal information). I like the way you have suppressed the detail of the surrounding snow so that all attention is focused on the subject--like a sort of reverse vignette. You've captured a beautiful expression on his face... really a delightful B&W photo. I also admire your ability to create a whole series of good photographs on a single theme, as shown elswhere in your portfolio. Nice to "meet" you!
