Hi Roger
the 90mm is very nice for portrait. I use it a lot. Most of my XPan portraits are taken with that lens. It has a very nice depth of field which is very nice for portrait. I use mainly aperture 4.0
Tommorrow you can look at some new Xpan shoots under www.noelke.com/manuela. More Xpan 90mm images you will find here:

Hi, Uwe. I just used a Google search for "Xpan" at the Usefilm.com site and this one came up tops! I love my Fuji TX-1 (functionally the same as an Xpan) with its 45mm lens, but I have been trying to take more people photos recently. I'd been wondering what the 90mm lens was like. This photo of yours tells me it's pretty good. What is your opinion? Do you get much use out of it compared with the 45mm? I am not considering the 30mm lens--too expensive, and anyway I prefer swing-lens panoramas for really wide angles, as there is no spatial distortion, so people still look normal even in the corners... I think I'll now browse your portfolio looking for more Xpan photos.
