Hi Michelle...a lovely image. I think i would clone out that strap it seems out of place and suggests hardness. This images beauty is in the softness that you created with the black nylon over the lens.
Also just crop a bit off the bottom to get rid of the strap there and the fuzzy piece of hair that is curling up wards. I know...nitpick but these are things that imho will make the image stronger *smile*... Maggie

Michelle - Me again. Okay, I am a beginner, sorta, so I hope this isn't annoying...but...could you tell me how the pic would've looked different without the black nylon? Would it just have had more glare and less softness? Thanks... Anne

Michelle,
Great shot! these are what make me so upset with myself. I cannot take decent pix of people. I like the use of the nylons over the lens. Have you tried something a little coarser such as tuile(i think thats how you spell it)it is like a lace that you can get in different colors. Keep it up!!! Later my friend,
Russ

I agree with Anne, it is beuatiful and soft. yet, I feel it might needed more room on the left to expand the horizon of her look... but this is only my opinion... which doesn't take anything of the beauty of the shot.

interesting technique...i think the pic is very well done. i like the softness and the curves. i'm all for keeping the pic as close to the original as possible, and the strap doesn't look bad. it creates a curved line that leads to the soft fold in the hair. i can see where you are coming from, though. a naked shoulder here would've been effective, too.
