I like it,, but find it a little under exposed,, the image is to sharp many for the trees,, slower shutter or soft/defusion is much better, , awsome tho, i like morning golds! atctualy, defuse sucks!, unless you got a soft filter!!,, i did this in PS under Defuse filter called Anisotropic,, looks a bit ghostly but neat effect!

Molo bella anche questa, composizione azzeccata e definizione super nonostante l'aspetto morbido.. la cosa che mi colpisce di più però è il colore del prato; quel verde e quel giallo sembrano avere vita propria.. bella anche la nebbia

Paolo, I like this theme alot; hazy in the background, lovely rural scenery. As to why you are not completely satisfied, I can only subscribe the previous comments, but would like to make one addition:

The composition is fine as it is, but it needs some more tension; There are only a few strong lines visible: the road and fence (mid bottom to 1/2 right diagonal) and the horizontal lines of the end of the meadow and the horizon. It would have been nice if there was one more; either a range of objects, (forming a clearly visible line to break the simplicity; or an object to add a bit more tension and to catch the eye. See also http://www.usefilm.com/image/281310.html; I have the same problem.....)

None the less a great piece of art, my compliments!

Firstly, its a great landscape. It has wonderful lighting and a great angle of the road and the fence. However I can see a few things that I would change. That tree in the foreground ont he left seems to be taking too much attention from the rest of the image. However, it cannot be cut entirely since I think that the fence is crucial and needs to remain in the frame. I also think that the colors could be muted a bit to add a little more mood to the image. Finally I would give it a slight bluish tint in order to add to the misty feeling. I gave it a shot in photoshop for about 5 mins and this was my result. I hope you find it helpful.

The composition is pretty good, with the fence line forming a nice diagonal throug the image, and the trees and the mountains forming a nice layered background. Maybe I would crop just a little bit from the top side, to remove a part of the overexposed sky. Personally, I would decrease the colour saturation and the contrast, in my opinion this matches better to the 'misty' mood. But that is just a matter of taste. My suggestion:

Paolo,

I think I understand why you are not fully satisfied. (But it really is a great picture!!!!)

It?s because a problem I have fazed a lot myself. The sky in the background is over exposed. Digital can see 5f stops between really dark and really bright (film does 7f stops). To cover this you can by a ND Grad filter. (For more technical info doe a surge for this in the help forum)
If you can not mount on your digital, underexpose. (Or expose for the sky). PS can get dank into bright but if you have no detail in bright PS can?t do anything. (I fount that out by scanning slides, with a cheap slide scanner).

I hope this helps, but once again it is a very very great photo!!!!

Paolo,
I'm not sure why you're not satisfied with this- to my eyes your toning just gets better and better (and like probably everyone else here, I'd love to know more about your technique).
I guess if there's any problem at all, I'd have to say that the sky's total blankness is too great a transition from the warmth of the foreground. Doesn't look like there's any information in the sky to be recovered, and I think you'd loose the beauty of the composition if you cropped it further, so unless you want to paint in a sky from another photo, there's not much you can do.
None the less it's still quite lovely just the way it is. Keep striving for perfection!

Regards,
David

Ciao Max
