the idea was indeed to break the structure of the eiffeltower with the structure of the bridge, and because the sun was in the lens I had to find a point where the sun was behind a beam of the bridge. I think the shadows on the bridge is very nice and by not framing the eiffeltower into the bridge the picture is more original then any other picture which would place the eiffeltower as the central item.

I can only agree with Joe. This pic looks as though you may have been trying to show two different uses for the iron girdle srtucture within the same image, great idea. But... perhaps if you had moved further along the bridge and found a higher section and changed the angle of your stance, you may have been able to frame the Eifel tower within the first structure, it would have been a better result. To slice right through the main focal point from what looks like a great position for a great pic has confused me.I have offered top marks for emotional appeal, because I think this pic may produce some strong emotions........Phil

why would you choose to shoot the Ifle tower in that fashion? Am I missing something?
