thats a pretty cool shot cedric I haven't tried any sunset shots. I find the 300 really good it took me a little while toget used to it coming from a point and shoot but now I love it, still learning all the time. I have bought myself a couple of lenses I got 28-135 which I find really good and 50mm the cheap one which also very good but I don't really need with the 28-135 covering most things I do. The 18-55 is good but needs a bit more sharpening. You will eventually get dust spots and when you do read this it works http://www.pbase.com/image/15473243 and read this article for the best sharpening http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast-enhancement.shtml it is so simple just play around with settings slightly radius 30-50 pert 10-30%...regarsd roger

I know I have the same one camera also if I knew that it was coming out for it was a few weeks later. I wanted a camera I could add lens and filters to. It will take awhile for you to get use to that one for its not just a point and shoot. You'll do fine just experiment with it and read up on the manural. Image looks good post some more.
