I ment to add in my comment that a little fill flash would have helped with the shadow under the hat.

Marcy,
I think this shot would work well as a CD cover, one thing though when shooting covers is you need to leave space for the words. I like the pose and the angle at which you shot this. Watch the background as the road (I think is a road) is creeping into the upper left corner. The exposure is a bit hot so toning it down a little would help. Also I think the shot works better if a little more DOF was used in the shot, it would help remove her from the background.
I am attaching a fix to help illustrate what I am suggesting.

Nice color, interesting angle and good light. In regards to the flatness. You would have created more depth if you had taken from a slightly lower angle and kept the film plane parallel to the model. But still a nice shot. I like it.
