Lowell, Since the catagory concerns style and the metaphysics of art, and those are very personal, I'll only comment on the technical aspects of this photo. The sharply focused eyelids and lashes work very well. The lighting accentuates the nose and gives it prominence that it doesn't deserve. I like the way the dress strap on the right side frames the face, but don't like the out of focus neclace. Nice work on a very tough to pull off photo.
