Beautiful colors! Makes me feel like it's a color photo from the 1800s. Very cool!

Thanks for the comments. :-) This one was like Galen Rowell would say, envision it, then shoot it. I saw the road... the nice curve and hill in the road... the red sumac... and the cloudy day, intensifying the red color. And there was an Amish auction going on down the road. I immediately knew I had to get a shot of a buggy going down that road, so scoped out the angles and waited, which took a little while. Also, the Amish really don't want their photos taken, feeling a "graven image" steals their soul. So I was restricted to shooting it as the buggy was going away. It seems there's a standard that it's OK to shoot them as a journalist if you don't get their faces. Thanks again!

Beautiful! How lucky you were to be there at that moment! I would also like to see this with a painted effect.

Lisa. Top photo. This is a beautiful landscape shot and the buggy really makes it. I'm glad you waited for it. Sometimes the effort of waiting really pays off and this is a good example. It looks like the buggy is going to dissapear over the hill soon and we are all saying goodbye. I can picture the noise in the distance fading. Very picturesque. Good on you!

Great colors and capture. I wish the road didn't end so abruptly where it goes over the hill. Cropping's not the answer, and anything you could have done at the time the shot was taken would have wiped out the sky.
Oh, well!
