Hey Dave. This picture is great. I'm also your nephew, so that might mean I'm a bit biased. Actually, I'm just saing, "hey" and was wondering if you've heard of "Flickr"? I found you on here, and I thought you might be interested. My e-mail is Jason_Hawkins@mac.com. E-mail me sometime.

Ah, this is the one you were telling me about. Nicely done. Even the leaf by itself would be quite nice, IMO. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hey David, Nice photo and creative work in PS! Also, thanks for the comments! As for the 10D, I do sharpen most of my photos upon printing - but it depends. I have had much better luck with the 10D when I'm shooting at something greater that f/4.0. And yes, for sports shooting, I got upset with it and wound up getting a Canon 1D - which I have had a tremendous amount better luck - especially with focus. A lot of the shooting I do (sports action) is difficult enough and I do like the 10D, but when stuff is moving around in low light without a flash - it's tough. I have gotten some good shots, but it's terribly frustrating. On the flip side, I use my 10D for portraits, nature, macro, etc. But, once I started shooting the 1D for sports - I was hooked! Best Regards, Dan

I thought it looked a little off for being shown through the leaf. I tried a similar idea with a brick and another image that was suppsoed to be spray painted on it. I havent figured out how to get rid of the problem, but it always looks just a little off. In this case it was the scale that gave it away first. Second there was the fact that the picture of the lizard was from the top and I could see certaiun details that would have been otherwise invisible. I do like the image though. Very nice.

This is what makes photo manipulation so exciting. The image is remarkable, and the manipulation so artfully done that the viewer is unaware. Bravo.

Thanks for the nice comments.
I am curious if anyone suspected
that this was actually 2 photographs .
The lizard was taken in Florida and the leaf
in a greenhouse in Michigan.
I layered the lizard on top of the leaf
then darkened him and made him semi-tranparent so
the veins of the leaf would show through ,
giving the illusion of him being on the other side.

David,

Very creative image. Besides the Anole, I like how the water drops also showed through. Very sharp with good contrast. Nice job.
