Hi Pat,

the light falls beautifully on the little girls hair and the hay on the background look smooth and they swing beautifully in the wind. I suggest you did not crop the picture so tightly right next to the boys feet on the right. In my opinion the picture needs more air on the right. You have a great eye for light and tones. I'd say your area of improvement woud be composition. Sometimes you do too tight cuts.

Definitely magical lighting and a quaint/touching scene. Cloning out that slight intrusion of leaves at the upper right (almost just a dot) would make the composition even better. I like the sepia color you've selected. Nice..:) BTW, I re-did the "Insitu" post to be a cross between the low and high contrast versions. Thanks for your input on that.

Love the lighting and the tones--even though we can't see their expressions it is clear that there is a lot of love between them.

I hate to say this but I think Jennifer captured why this is such an endearing image. The only other thing I would mention is that I love the interaction between the little girl and her brother. Whenever, I see shots of them together I see such love. He is obviously smitten with his sister and very protective. Big brothers and little sisters share one of the purest loves i can imagine.

This picture to me is not wierd but heavenly...the light hitting the tops of the children's head give an angel quality as the breeze whips through the trees. Thier shadows leaving imprints on the soft grass...the angle you took the picture give us the perspective that we are sitting on the grass too on a beauitiful summer day..i like the colors and tones almost make it feel like you are remembering a memory. I love this picture...can you tell? : ) It's heavenly
