About While playing with tonal adjustments, I got this one; the burned sky over the house it's a bit distracting but, at the same time, it makes the observer look towards the house direction itself and this may compensate its strength.
Comments and advices are welcome as usual.
Thanks in advance...

Very striking- well composed and great PS work. I too have mixed feelings about the sky- I might try dropping the levels/saturation just a little.
Fantastic result!
Regards,
David

Absolutely stunning shot, that sky is something else. Great composition, like the low vantage point for the shot.
Find there is a tendency for my eyes to catch the large stones in the foreground. Might be worth defocusing them a bit to strengthen the focus on the house.

I don't find the sky distracting at all, I think it worked beautifully. Your portfolio is great as well.

It looks like a 3-D photo, very nice effect, but the sky looks a little unreal (for my taste), would like to see it with a natural grey sky.....
GREAT photo!
best regards, Pia :)

Hi Paolo:

I find the sky eye-catching rather than distracting. The original composition and your PS elaborations are superb! --jim

First of all, thanks for your comments.

For those asking about the original shot...it has been overwritten by this one... by accident. Anyway it's not a real pitty as it had a poor contrast due to the lighting conditions, a bright, almost burned sky as I've exposed on the rocks and very cold tones given by a rather cloudy sky. Anyway, the composition was appealing to me, so I've decided to put the hands on it through PS.

Best reagrds, Paolo

Great picture Paolo, the color of the sky is just great. The burned piece above the house does indeed attract attention from the viewer, but that is ok. What is an issue (just a very small one though) is that the very well detailed rocks in the forground also draw the attention of the viewer, which seems to create a constant struggle between these two objects (the rocks and the house). It may of course just be me going crazy, which I will not deny ;-)
Another great thing in this picture is how you have layers in it: the very well detailed rocks, the slightly soft house, and the silhouttes of the rocks and woods behind that.
As said before, this is a great picture!
