It's an issue I just can't duck. "Mallard" breaks all the rules -- at least all the ones about tonal zones -- and succeeds brilliantly. For me, the softness is just an exquisite foil to the look of wary attention from a small creature who senses a large predator nearby. --Jim

Kita; I like this a lot and can't exactly say why?----maybe the softness, the colors, the subject?? Thanks for liking my Deep Blue pic-- at least 2 other people share my taste for the surreal. Hehehehehe, bella cattura e bella presentazione. Si e' Nord della Spagna, vicino c'e il luogo dove Dali' aveva una casa, hanno fatto un museo, molto interessante. Il soggetto ritratto nella foto e' mia moglie. Hai ragione il culone viola e' inopportuno, ma il rosso e nero a me piace anche se fa impact. Ciao, perche' non entri nel sito?
