nice shadows... the squinting eyes are interesting ... the rugs texture is quite vivid. the plastic doll artistic and adds mystery.

Great light on the carpet: it works very well for the texture. And yes, the cat's eyes look kind of evil (the daylight reflecting into them, I know)although she's trying to help. My friends'cat does the same. If they're pretending to fight he comes right away.
Very nice shot. And I'm not saying that only because of the cat, altough I really love cats (especially black ones).

Hi Sandy! This picture is really outstanding... The composition is strange, a tad eerie, funny... all in one, just excellent!! Arises a lot of phantasies... And in contradiction to some of them, the light and colours are so very nice and warm... badly ironic ;) elusive coziness, and still so sweet! The chair is right; it underlines the feeling of private room. This is really excellent !!! And I like the shadows falling to the background :) Very well done ~ and thank you very much for your kind comments! Regards :)

the cat was smaller but the doll...she had a bald spot.
yes my cat is something wonderful..i saved her life and she has been soothing mine ever since..
i am lucky
:)
until of course she comes from behind the couch and swiped a claw across my tendon..
ok enough about my cat...and thank you for your comment. and do enjoy your weekend.

Unforgettable eyes! Not sure whether the implication is that she is standing guard or has just been chewing the doll's hair...?!
Nice to meet the Kid. Very different to my cat, a cranky long-haired Persian with way too much attitude.

As far as the table, i don't think removing it would have made a big difference. I also see this as a documentary, and the table legs are kind of crucial to it being authentic in the documentary sense. It makes it look more like home.

Thank you for asking if all is well with me. It soon will be. I never forget a kind soul. Thank you.

This is really a great shot.
The composition and lighting is wonderful.
He reminds me of my "Zorro" when he was young. Now mine's just a big couch potato.

well actually i posed the doll and the kid came up on her..and it was just right...she kinda came up sniffed her (the doll's)head and then looked at me..
:)
now my cat naturally comes to me in times of distress...was she thinking this about the doll that i was bending to and fro? setting here and there?
was my cat like
hey!
what are you doing?
stop it!

or did she just want to sniff the dolls head?
could go either way really..

thanks for the comment mark..and i hope all is well with you...
i was thinking i should have removed the table...should i have?

You did well making this into a kind of series. I'm getting a feel for the surroundings and the warm mood of the place. How you got the Kid to pose with the doll is something else. Does the doll belong to him?
